COOKIE POLICY

Last updated: 26 April 2026

1. What are cookies?

  • Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website. They help websites remember you and your preferences.
  • Similar technologies include pixels, local storage, and fingerprinting. This policy covers all of them.

2. How we use cookies

We use cookies to:

  • Keep you logged in and remember your session.
  • Process payments securely (Stripe).
  • Remember your preferences (language, theme).
  • Understand how our service is used (analytics).
  • Protect against fraud and abuse.

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not use cookies for behavioural advertising on users under 18, in accordance with Standard 12 of the ICO Age Appropriate Design Code.

3. Categories of cookies

Strictly necessary (no consent needed)

Essential for the service to function. Without them, the service cannot work. Examples: authentication tokens, CSRF protection, session management, Stripe fraud prevention at checkout. Legal basis: PECR Reg. 6(4) exemption.

Functional (consent required under EU rules)

Remember your preferences to improve your experience. Examples: language preference, theme preference, remembered selections. Legal basis: your consent (EU users); legitimate interest with opt-out under DUAA 2025 (UK users).

Analytics (consent required)

Help us understand how the service is used so we can improve it. Legal basis: your consent, or legitimate interest with opt-out for UK users under DUAA 2025 reforms.

6. Managing your cookie preferences

  • When you first visit MyRacingPath, you will see a cookie consent banner asking you to accept or reject non-essential cookies. Both options are equally prominent.
  • You can change your cookie preferences at any time by clicking the “Cookie Settings” link in the footer.
  • You can also manage cookies through your browser settings. Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies.
  • Blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent parts of the service from working (including login).

7. Cookies and users under 18

For accounts identified as belonging to users under 18:

  • Only strictly necessary and functional cookies are used by default.
  • Advertising and behavioural tracking cookies are never used.
  • Analytics cookies require explicit parental consent.

8. Third-party cookies

  • When you make a payment, Stripe may set cookies as described above. Stripe's cookie practices are governed by their policies at stripe.com.
  • We do not permit third-party advertising cookies on our service.

We update this Cookie Policy when we change our cookie use. Check the “Last updated” date at the top. For material changes we will notify you in-app. For any questions contact support@myracingpath.com.
